Founded in 1929 by Walter Thut as a carpenter in Möriken, his son Kurt Thut developed the manufacturing programme further from 1953. As a visionary and the use of new materials and technologies, the furniture joinery developed into a flexible manufacturing and assembly workshop.

Today, the company is run by the third generation and the collection is characterised by a clear model reduction to usable, inventively designed and innovatively functioning furniture types.
